Miami Design Shop was hired by Louis Vuitton to fabricate and install a variety of elements for the brand’s Art Basel event.

The main theme of the show was the Paper Airplane, a symbol that perfectly encompasses Virgil Abloh's greatest wish for humankind - to return to their childlike minds, free from prejudice with truly unlimited imagination and potential. Little did we know, this would be the last time we’d work with LVMH under the helm of design icon Virgil Abloh.

It was an honor engineering, plasma cutting, metal forming, powder coating, and installing more than 140 metal 'paper' airplanes at an event that became a tribute to the late designer’s passing. These airplanes spanned a 40-foot wall along the runway, mounted at various distances and trajectories, reflecting the playful and free nature of Virgil’s enduring spirt.
